The continued presence of the human element in the paintings of Pooya Aryanpour is a testament to the artist’s preoccupied state of mind. This human element takes on different forms, is liquefied, and becomes one element among others within creation. On canvas, this process of metamorphosis is represented either as geometrical patterns, either as frozen objects and now, in the present exhibit, as sharp creatures capable of cutting.
